In today’s world science and spirituality are finding common ground. What mystics have been saying since time immemorial is now being proved. By reading quotes from scientists and mystics you may be able to understand that by entering inside our own body with a meditative awareness, we will be able to discover the whole universe.

We Are Made Of Stardust

Below is a quote from a National Geographic interview conducted by Simon Worrall with authors: Karel Schrijver (astrophysicist) and his wife Iris (physician and genetics researcher) about their book called: ‘Living With The Stars’ “Most of the material that we’re made of comes out of dying stars, or stars that died in explosions. And those stellar explosions continue. We have stuff in us as old as the universe, and then some stuff that landed here maybe only a hundred years ago. And all of that mixes in our bodies.”

Nasim Harriman, physicist, says: “We are pieces of the hologram called Intelligent Infinity, pieces of the Fractals that make up the 3D world. Any piece of a hologram can reproduce the whole; therefore, we are all one being before the first distortion of unity. That first distortion was FREE WILL. So, really, there is no separation because we are all reflections of this unity, reflections of the one, fractalized.

The Microcosm Contains The Macrocosm

“The closest nature has approached to you; the closest existence has come to you is through the body. In your body is the water of the oceans, in your body is the fire of the stars and the suns. In your body is the air; your body is made of earth.”

Osho

“Here in this body are the sacred rivers. Here are the sun and the moon, as well as all the pilgrimage places. I have not encountered another temple as blissful as my own body.”

Saraha Doha (Tantra Scripture)

In order for us to really understand and realise the universe within us, we need to treat our body with great love and respect. We become what we eat. We become what we think or feel. We also become what we are exposed to in our environment. Our bodies are not designed to live on junk food or junk advertising. Our bodies are designed to live as an integral aspect of the natural world. In fact, our bodies reflect the natural world.

Our Bodies And The Body Of The Earth Are Interconnected

There is so much disease today because we have been ruining the bigger body of the planet. We have been disrespecting life in so many ways, cutting forests, creating and dumping toxic waste of all kinds into the holy waters of the earth, sucking the planet of her resources, poisoning plants and soil. If we clean our planet of the toxic overload, simultaneously we heal our bodies. The reverse is also true, if we begin living a healthy lifestyle, we will no longer feel like destroying the planet. Rather, we will feel like making of our earth, an Eden.

We may think we are very clever designing so much technology and scientific advancements but in actual fact, we reveal by and by that many of our advances have a basic stupidity at their core. If we advance but that advancement is only in service of a global suicide, then this is certainly stupidity.

I was reading an interview with a Kogi Mama (an enlightened being of the Kogi tribe from Columbia) The Mama recounted that thousands of years ago, their ancestors were given the choice to move into the direction of technology or to choose to be custodians of the natural world. The ancestor Mamas ‘saw into the future that the ‘technological road’ would lead to global suicide and therefore they consciously chose to remain without technology and to simply dedicate their energy into helping the natural world, including all beings, to discover supreme beauty, love and balance.

The Kogi Mamas call the so-called civilised world ‘the younger brother’ because we do very foolish things and have not yet matured enough to realise that what we are doing is harmful. They offer their help to the younger brother to become more aware in regards to our bodies, our environment and our sacred duty to leave this world in an even more harmonious state than we have found it.

Finding Wholeness Through Tantra

If we look at the situation we are in from the perspective of Tantra, then we realise that the healing will come from finding harmonious balance between male and female. Male energy within us seeks to create territory, manage it and protect it. If this tendency is directed from a space of higher consciousness, the wish will be to become custodians of nature. Female energy within us wishes to enjoy beauty, love and nurturing. If these tendencies are enjoyed hand in hand with masculine energies, we will have a really special, beautiful and blissful world.

One of the reasons I am teaching Tantra is to bring balance to the world. If enough men and women open themselves to Tantra transformation, we will find ecstatic balance within ourselves, with others and with the natural world. We will stop behaving stupidly with our bodies, with our sciences and with our resources. One of the main problems we face in the world today stems from patriarchy dissociated from the feminine.

When the dynamic balance of male and female energies is established within ourselves, we become empathic, loving, sensual, filled with energy and creative joy.

Harmony Is In Diversity

It is interesting that there is a growing movement to neutralise the polarities of male and female. People who propagate this believe that there is no difference between male and female. And yet, if we look at nature, it flows and evolves through the dynamic play of opposite polarities. Everywhere we look we will find contradictions; day and night, summer and winter, birth and death, hot and cold, male and female. In biological studies, male and female are found to be designed diametrically opposite and yet complementary. If we keep studying this phenomenon, we will eventually find that there is harmony in diversity. Just as mono culture creates disturbance in the environment of the soil, water, bird and insect life leading to many problems, so it is that mono anything will lead to dis-ease.

I experience this in groups all the time. When we have a diverse group of people from many different countries, races and religious orientations, it doesn’t take long before we sense ourselves as one humanity, one heart, one love. However, if a group is made up of only one cultural background, it is more difficult to achieve this degree of harmony. Mono beliefs hold us back from opening ourselves into becoming vast enough to contain contradictions. We shrink to the lowest denomination in the mono attitude.

When we apply embracing of diversity to our lifestyle, we discover radiant health. For example, to sustain life in our bodies, we need to ingest 8 different amino acids. This is gained by eating a wide variety of plant protein. The strongest man in the world was asked, “How can it be that you are as strong as an ox but don’t eat meat?” His reply was: “Oxen don’t eat meat!”

If you consider this carefully it is really interesting: so many herbivores are very powerful creatures: elephants, oxen, giraffes, gorillas, buffalos, hippopotamuses and so on.

Myths Given By the Meat And Dairy Industry

The meat and dairy industry has conditioned people into believing that the only way to get protein and therefore strength is to eat meat. Now, consider how this meat has protein; It is because the herbivore you are eating has taken in 8 amino acids necessary for maintaining life by ingesting plants.

It was found through a scientific study on nutrition that when the human body is given meat, it treats it as a dangerous toxin and has to work very hard to extract out of it the 8 amino acids found in plants. The toxic meat waste is then stored in fat in the body because it cannot be digested properly. (Read the China Study for more details.)

Having studied nutrition for many years, it has become quite obvious to me that the majority of all disease comes from unhealthy eating habits. This is the elephant in the room that most allopathic doctors pretend doesn’t exist! Instead, they have become drug pushers for the pharmaceutical industry, imagining that by covering the symptom, the problem will go away. It will not go away and indeed only gets worse. So, the drug companies, acting all innocent, continue manufacturing more and more drugs to combat the side effects of a harmful lifestyle and even more harmful so-called medicines.

Hippocrates

All allopathic doctors take the oath of Hippocrates, who lived in 500 B.C. and is considered the father of medicine and yet modern medicine does not follow Hippocrates himself who stated, “Let medicine be thy food and food thy medicine.” He further added: “All disease begins in the gut.”

Hippocrates had methods of diagnosis and treatment that would be considered cutting edge today. He worked with sacred geometry, healing through dreams, colour therapy, herbs and food as medicine. Eventually, when we get tired of being killed by junk food and the medical mafia we will at last come back to Hippocrates’s true message that a healthy lifestyle and balanced mind leads to wellness and joy.

Hippocrates says: “Physician Heal Thyself. Our universe is so designed that we doctor-teachers get the first drink of Health and the Healing Power of Nature as It flows through us to others.”

He goes on to say: “If we could give every individual the right amount of nourishment and exercise, not too little and not too much, we would have found the safest way to health. Everything in excess is opposed to nature.”

Pythagoras On Vegetarianism

Pythagoras (570—490 BC), the enlightened Greek mystic teacher, said:

“For as long as man continues to be the ruthless destroyer of lower living beings, he will never know health or peace. For as long as men massacre animals, they will kill each other. Indeed, he who sows the seeds of murder and pain cannot reap joy and love.”

Henry David Thoreau

Henry David Thoreau (1817—1862) was a great conservationist who helped to protect large swaths of forests said: “I have no doubt that it is a part of the destiny of the human race in its gradual improvement, to leave off eating animals, as surely as the savage tribes have left off eating each other.”

Veganism Is The Way To Reduce Environmental Impact

The Independent published an article in 2018 highlighting a study which found that Veganism is the single biggest way to reduce our environmental impact on the planet.

“The new study, published in the journal Science, is one of the most comprehensive analyses to date into the detrimental effects farming can have on the environment and included data on nearly 40,000 farms in 119 countries.

The findings reveal that meat and dairy production is responsible for 60 per cent of agriculture’s greenhouse gas emissions, while the products themselves provide just 18 per cent of calories and 37 per cent of protein levels around the world. Researchers examined a total of 40 agricultural products in the study, covering 90 per cent of all food that is eaten.”

Lead author Joseph Poore said:

“A vegan diet is probably the single biggest way to reduce your impact on planet Earth, not just greenhouse gases, but global acidification, eutrophication, land use and water use.”

“It is far bigger than cutting down on your flights or buying an electric car,” he explained, which would only reduce greenhouse gas emissions.

“Avoiding consumption of animal products delivers far better environmental benefits than trying to purchase sustainable meat and dairy,” he added.

Caring For Personal And Planetary Health

If we wish to be the best and most radiant version of ourselves, the study and application of wise nutrition is a must. The more we love and care for our body as a divine gift, the more we will care for the bigger body of the earth, all its resources and all its inhabitants, including our fellow animals, fishes, birds, reptiles, insects and plants.

In regards to our comfort and technological advances we can heed the words of Victor Schauberger, also known as the ‘Water Wizard.’ His engineering feats and discoveries which work with nature rather than destroying nature are an inspiration to take us forward into a sane new world. He says: “You must look at the processes of motion in the macrocosmos and microcosmos accurately and copy them.”
